S&OP and Demand Planning Manager

Location: Hamburg, Germany
Employment Type: Full-time

Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) and Demand Planning Team Lead to join our team in Hamburg. This role plays a critical part in aligning supply chain planning with business objectives to ensure efficient operations and optimal customer service levels across a European network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Sales & Operations Planning process, ensuring alignment between demand forecasts, inventory planning, and production/supply capabilities.

  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between Sales, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to support integrated planning.

  • Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and seasonality to develop reliable forecasts and capacity plans.

  • Facilitate monthly S&OP meetings, driving accountability and decision-making.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive continuous improvement initiatives across planning processes.

  • Manage and mentor a small team of planning professionals, providing guidance and fostering professional development.

  • Develop tools and dashboards for visibility and transparency across the planning cycle.

  • Ensure that service levels, inventory targets, and operational efficiency goals are consistently met.

  • Collaborate with IT and Data teams to improve system support and data quality for S&OP processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in supply chain planning or S&OP, preferably in a complex, multi-site environment.

  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Excel and planning tools (e.g., SAP IBP, Anaplan, Kinaxis).

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Fluent in English and German
